7th Bead Soup Blog Party -- FIRST REVEAL!

Hello everybody!  I am so excited, it is time for me to show you what I made with my bead soup in Lori Anderson's fun Bead Soup Party!!!  I am part of the first reveal group.

First, here is the bead soup I received from my partner Grace Rotenberg ~

It was a colorful mixture of milifloral glass beads, other glass beads, some ceramic beads, and a few metal components, including a piece from an old bracelet.

I added lots of wire, some other metal components, and satin rat tail cording and went to town creating some jewelry that I will be giving to an artsy friend.  I was able to make a necklace, bracelet, and earrings for this set ~

The bracelet ~

The necklace ~

the earrings ~

I sent Grace some various pearl, glass, porcelain,  and shell beads, with some vintage earrings thrown in for fun.  I love to cut up vintage earrings and incorporate them into mixed media projects and jewelry, and since Grace makes beautiful steampunk style jewelry I thought she might be able to do the same.  Can't wait to see what she creates!
Here is the bead soup I sent ~ one organza bag holds the beads and one holds the vintage earrings ~

I have linked the master list for you to view here ~

Bead Soup Party 1st Reveal!

Please be sure to check out the beautiful creations that others have made.  I love to hear from you, so be sure to leave me a comment or follow my blog. I will repay the favor!  Happy browsing and beading!

I wish you a joyful and creative day ~ Pam

Hurry Up Spring! Plus a Tag Tutorial on the Art Studio!

Hello everybody!  How are you all today?  Hopefully doing well.

I am experiencing a bit of cabin fever lately.  I just want Spring to get here and stay here!  I know it isn't even officially time for Spring, but I am totally ready to be done with winter. I think my kids feel the same way.  They played touch football after Hollyn's second birthday party.  It was sunny, but there was snow on the ground ~

Speaking of Hollyn's second birthday party, it happened a few weeks ago.  This cutie had a Chipwreaked birthday party because she loves the Chipettes (and the Chipmunks).  Her favorite is Jeanette, so I made her a birthday shirt with Jeanette.  Here is the front ~

Here is the back ~

Wow, it is tough to get a picture of a 2 year old at her birthday party!  :)  Here are a few more pics.  First is the limbo photo,  they loved that game ~

Then it was time for cake (of course Cooper and Kaya were ready to help blow out their little cousin Hollyn's candles if need be) ~

Then present time, how fun!

Last weekend we celebrated my beautiful daughter's 30th birthday.  Love you Sweets!

Besides dinner, for her main present I made her a family necklace with the kids, Dut and her birthstones and some other items.  I was pretty happy with how it turned out, and she loved it too.   ~

It was all fluffy and pouffy in the package (I will be doing a tutorial on how to make this style tag at The Art Studio too) ~

Coop and Kaya spent the night with us after dinner.  The next morning we made super yummy cupcakes.  Here they are still in jammies, making cupcakes for Mumma ~

Here are the finished cupcakes.

I have a Tag Tutorial on the Art Studio Blog, check it out here.

Well, that is it for me today.  I hope you all have a joyful and creative week, and come on Spring!!!  ;)  ~ Pam

How did I come up with Pam's Eclectic Stuff?

Pam- that is me. :)

eclectic --adj.- selecting what seems best of various styles or ideas
*Since I like a huge variety of arts and mediums, this seemed perfect, we will talk about the best of various styles or ideas.

stuff- The noun stuff has 7 senses -
1. material, stuff -- (the tangible substance that goes into the makeup of a physical object; "wheat is the stuff they use to make bread")2. whatchamacallit, stuff, whatsis, sundry, sundries -- (miscellaneous unspecified artifacts; "the trunk was full of stuff")3. stuff, clobber -- (informal terms for personal possessions; "did you take all your clobber?")4. stuff, stuff and nonsense, hooey, poppycock -- (senseless talk; "don't give me that stuff")5. stuff -- (unspecified qualities required to do or be something; "the stuff of heros"; "you don't have the stuff to be a United States Marine")6. stuff -- (information in some unspecified form; "it was stuff I had heard before"; "there's good stuff in that book")7. stuff -- (a critically important or characteristic component; "suspense is the very stuff of narrative")

*What more needs to be said? I really thought about using Pam's Eclectic Sundries, but I thought that might be tough to remember. :) Stuff is easy and conveys a variety of meanings. I like the definition- miscellaneous unspecified artifacts. I also liked whatchamacallit, but that is a lot of typing. :)

So there you have it!
